I dont know how suited this would be to you but we track everything in "Tracker". It allows for various levels of security to be assigned so that requests must be entered by certain levels of management. Some things are "owned" by particular groups and others may be assigned at will. It can be as detailed as you like.
I barely use it and dont necessarily like it because there are too many hoops for me to jump through just to get a change initiated (I'm an office supervisor and have to get at least one approval but usually two before any IT person sees my request). Our IT department like it because they have an ongoing priority list that is dynamic.

I work with "County maintained maps" all day long and let me insist that the realtors (however much I might not want to argue this) will be more accurate half of the time.
Most of the time the realtors work with Title Companies who have huge databases that trace every single property back lien by lien or "title chain". They have access to every deed filed of record and are able to present a more accurate representation of properties than the County half of the time.
Or at least that is the story here in Texas. I could bore you all day long about property taxes and tax maps...
I'm surprised I couldnt find this one mentioned. Scientists in the future 2076 try to go back in time to 1776 to get info on the founding fathers as all history in 2076 was degaussed. The accidently end up in 1976. All spare cast of big 70's names. Very tongue in cheek but keeps you rolling on the floor. Anyone who lived thru the 70's would appreciate.
Maybe I missed something but the post is from AC but I swear I've seen that sig before. Not much anonymous about that...

Absolutely one of the biggest "unknown" hits. My wife turned me on to it. Noone outside of my friends have even heard about it!
