that is not neccessarily true. blogging is about talking about your daily activities and for some it is posting some sites or news or pictures, or whatever catches your eyes for yourself to go back to later or to share with others to read and also allows users/readers to post---just like this web page. if you dont like it, then all you have to do is close the window and if you think it is really cool, then you will tell others about it, or even post it on your site or blog. if it is not safe for work, most posters will put NSFW (which means Not Safe For Work) the convenience of a blog is: YOU get to choose what you put on there and post for a million viewers to read. so if you dont want something to be throw up 20 years later, then dont post it or dont make that posting public. YOU have the control of what everyone else sees/reads on YOUR blog.
