That is a statement that always drives me crazy... Cops pretty much always assume you are guilty. Otherwise no one would ever be arrested. The whole statement is, innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. When you walk into a courtroom you are presumed innocent (or are supposed to be). IANAL but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express one time

I don't find it flaming although you didn't mince words. I like that. I've been called caustic several times for telling things as they are.

Communications via e-mail has always been a pet peeve of mine. I read once (it was either Dennis Ritchie or Ken Thompson) checked their email twice a day and set aside that time to do all of their e-mail correspndence. People seem to think that e-mail is like IM (and I won't even go off on that rant) and expect an instant response. If someone needs to contact me and would like an immediate reply, there's this thing called a phone. If you are close by, knock on my door. Too much time is wasted by having you mail client up, notifying of an e-mail and distracting you from whatever it was that you were doing. Don't get me wrong, e-mail is a great tool, can be a great time saver and definitely can CYA. It's just a matter of setting peoples expectations.

Let's face it. When it comes down to it, we will all have our bias. The real honus lies on the "professional" who is making an informed decison for the organization in which they are representing. The best tool for the job is what is needed. I type this from my Mac with my Linux server & workstation next to me as well as a few XP machines and an MS SBS2003 server. Each has their purpose and it was my decision.

In some wierd twisted sort of way SCO may be involved in this. Caldera was the holder of DR-DOS. How does this effect that product? What about IBM's PC-DOS which can still be purchased?
