But considering they have to pay the bill for the fabrication lab before it becomes obselete, the discount is rarely passed to the consumer. Although intel pays pennies per processor, they have to pay for their dies before smaller ones are adopted by their competition. Expect solid-state media to work the same way- although I do see their prices lowering to at least as low as harddrives.
Don't assume everyone is using a qwerty keyboard. Although I use qwerty at work and for work-related things at home, I'm also increasing my profiency with dvorak every day. Don't change your program so it is faster to type, change the layout.

You have to correct them- the proper term that they are looking for is a rectangular prism.
