  1. Re:Many in eastern europe did turn to democracy on Some Countries Want To Ban 'Information Weapons' · · Score: 1

The article is misleading. It is about the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of another state. For instance the communist parties in Western Europe were financially supported by the Soviet Union and their agent tried political manipulation. In the same way the United States tried to influence the political matters by interventions and networking. In the case of Germany for instance it was a well-understood task to "reeducate" the people, in other words foreign intelligence services manipulated the political scene.

No, these names are English. That is not userfriendly but culturally biased.

Don't forget that Mandriva was in negotiations to get Russian state contracts. To me it looks like the Russians will simply sack Mandriva. The new distribution on a community/non-profit base is a perfect counter-weight.

They say there is a dependency. Fine. If there is a dependency then you have a problem that has to be solved. The governments have to take more aggressive steps to prevent lock-ins. It does not matter wheter you use Windows or Linux but governments have to address their dependencies and of their citizens because that is a critical dependency.
