Any my sister goes to a "conservative" college. It took her two years to turn from a moderate conservative like my parents to a propaganda-spewing hippie bot.
And now you live in fear the time has almost come for you to follow big sisters example and start thinking for yourself?
Btw, moderate and conservative are not compatible for use in one single sentence.
Do you start conversations in real life with lines like: "With all due respect, sir, You're an idiot."? And then in the very next sentence admitting that actually, he isn't!? Do you think "With all due respect, sir, You're an idiot." has a nice ring to it or are you just enjoying yourself insulting unknown people without justification?
Not that I have any high hopes of you understanding what I am trying to say. Fans of Robert Jordan aren't exactly famous for, should we say, wit?
My take is rather that she had to stop wearing stuff, to stay in competition. While being paranoid about corporates, I still doubt it was a planned scheme, hatched at megacorp meetings.
If my memory serves me (unlikely), Aguilera went the same way, but with less focus on her non-nakedness.
you can only ride that kind of wave so far without actual talent.
She became very famous before she started taking off her clothes. One of her former trademarks was "The girl who don't take off clothes or let boys do naughty stuff with her body".
Very little talent, no naked body. Just shows that a pretty face and the right connections can get you very far in a capitalist society.
I am glad I put a smile on your face, but I think you are wrong.
I have had many of my not so computer literate friends try using my Linux desktop. None of them have had any problems at all after a little help in the beginning.
They wouldn't manage installing that Linux desktop, that much is true, but that isn't a problem in my book, since they wouldn't manage installing Windows either.
...when the number of Linux desktops reaches the critical mass where hardware manufacturers have no choice but to support linux with drivers, etc. If you'd asked me a year ago I would have told you that that day probably is a decent amount of time into the future. Now, I say we will most likely soon start seeing the signs on the horizon.
Often we hear people talk about how "linux isn't ready for desktop". Bah. Nonsense. I would rather say; Some people aren't ready for the linux desktop. It might not be as easy as Windows or OSX, but nothing really stops you from using linux instead of windows, except for specialized applications only available on that platform.
The only thing needed for success is a distro as easy to set up as Mandrake/Suse/Redhat, with the ease of upgrading of Gentoo or Debian. Maybe Fedora is the choosen one, tho I doubt it.

I pity people like you who are addicted to free (as in beer) software and thereby never will get many professional grade graphics and audio applications, even games for your platform of choice.
Flamebait/Troll? Nah, not really. Choice is good, and by refusing to buy available commercial software for open platforms, you make it increasingly less likely for other companies even to conscider develop anything for that platform.
I wonder how Sony is going to deal with this concept: continuous motion would make their game loads more responsive, but would also drain the battery faster.
Dunno, but given they somehow managed to make battery last a while with ordinary portable MD usage, I don't think battery consumption of the minidisc part is a big deal with PSP either.

My guess would be a sore throat. Not surprising after all accusations thrown out left and right by their spokesmen.
Ever heard of netiquette?

Mojo... Sure you don't mean mofu?
I hope your house is clean, it would be sad if both epithets used are working both ways.
BUSINESS Is GREAT FREE PRIVATE
I don't get it?
non-existant in open-source browsers such as mozilla or opera.
I did not know that.
Could you please give me some directions on where to download Opera's source?
Illegal combatant, it must have read?
I bet, in 50 years, people will upon that part of our history as one of the great shames of the early, new millenium.
And there they are:
Clothes.
Thanks for proving my case.

Nooo, just look at madonna.
Which sounded just like the text to speech utility that shipped with my Amiga 500, five years earlier.
And who is qualified deeming if the machine productions are Art?
You?
A syntethic Critic?
While not resembling art to you, AIs appreciate the artistic touch of a perfect circle.
Seriously, though...
As far as I am concerned, humans are only sofisticated machines.
We are (by our own definition) capable of producing Art.
Ergo, machines are able to produce Art.
Sorry, but... No.

Sorta reminds me of the 80s when Atari and Amiga people were in a continual flamewar while Microsoft and Apple were mopping the floor with them.
Ignorant or just too young to remember what it was like back then?
That's an interesting but kind of scary thought.
:)
Please, don't put ideas like this into the heads of Aum Shinri Kyo guys or any of their likes.
No, you don't understand.
Hating Bush is not our full time occupation. We just dislike him, his opinions and his politics intensively 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 52 weeks/year.

Doesn't sound like any Monkey Island(TM) game I ever played.
Ah, wait, are you by any chance referring to the worthless follow ups to Ron Gilbert's classic games?
How easily do you believe we are fooled?
"Bill Gates didn't say that, Achmed noted while surfing the web on his Commodore 64, in the Afghan mountains."
Reliable sources, yours are not. Mhmm.
Many, many people who kill other people do so negligently or even accidentally.

Sounds good to me! Going to order one of these.
I bet Jernau Gurgeh would beat Kasparov hands down, any day.
