    Like all other Linux fanatics, his box at home has a 120 gig HDD, with 110 gigs partitioned in NTFS for WinXP, which he swears is "just for games", and the rest is a token Linux install.

    Wow, you just described the exact opposite of what you meant! MY laptop alone has a 40 gig drive that is broken down to
    10gb WinXP
    500 mb Linux Swap
    6bg Fedora
    6gb Mandrake
    5gb Gentoo
    12gb /usr/local/games

    And I use Mandrake more then WinXP, which has been twice! Really think 10gb was too much to give it...
    all given values are an estimate and I am not to be held responsible for any calculation errors (I blame the hard drive manufacture for not using real values to begin with)

    There has been lots of talk that Fedora is just a testing ground for the software that goes into RHEL. Leaving the packages that go into Fedora is a state of 'beta-test-limbo' and once the bugs are hammered out, only then will they be moved into RHEL. How true is this?

    Have you ever looked at the code before you installed something? or did you just rpm it or make ; make install?

    If it's coming from an unknown/untrusted source, yes.
    If it's coming from little people like kernel.org or mysql.com, no.

    Ummm, because we can look at it before we install it instead of just 'trusting' someone that it is good?
    And just how much code comes out of China anyway!?

    As much as I dislike Microsoft and their products, I don't think they'd be so foolish as to let something like a web browser execute shell scripts without restrictions.

    MS is still saying that ActiveX is the future...

    Of course I admit it would be cool to be able to tweak the current running kernel from within the kernel itself AND be able to integrate the rest of the system in there...hmmm, I see a new sourceforge project starting soon =)

    Neato! Microsoft is remaking BASH!
    I will only be impressed if it uses blue for my directories and green for my executables...but I guess then everything would be green in MS, eh?
    Oh and tab completition, it's worthless without tab completition!

    Seriously, if there are only a couple 'good songs' on an album that tells you something about the person/people that made it and their future...

    Ditto, that's why I got the GBA->GC Player, I can use all of my Gameboy games from the original Tetris on the first GB to Wario Ware, Inc and Worms World Party
    With this adapter I would only be able to use the GBA games, which rules out most of my GameBoy games...not worth it to someone who has been playing Nintindo since Donkey Kong hit the arcades...

    My daughter (5, will be 6 in January) wanted to play on the orginal GameBoy I have, you know the green screen one =) I think she likes Tetris and Kirbys Pinball better on it then on the GBA =)
