Tomorrow, we'll be reading/. posts about Bestbuy being sued for selling overclocking kits, and Stables sued for selling 3rd Party Printer replacement cartridges.
As a 3rd year undergrad comp. eng. student, salary continues to go up (slowly) after each term of study. I'm currently getting equivalent to 38K(CDN)/yr this term, up from 30K(CDN)/yr when I was in 1st year. For us students in the co-op program, we don't have much choice over our work. Whether the work is C++, VB, Java, PHP, web design, or even tech support, we basically take the offers we're given. I think at times like this, it's still possible to get pay increases, but the offers are much more competitive and come less often.
My computer's shrink keeps telling me to upgrade my box so it doesn't feel useless, jealous, develop anxiety complex and any other form of neurotic symptoms...The shrink also tells me to stay away from Windoze and hands me a linux distro...Sheesh, I'm more time and more of my paycheck on my PC than on my gf...she's gonna find herself a shrink soon.
If I want to watch DVD in surround sound, I'd need 4 of these LCD screens. Too bad DVDs don't usually have multi-angled views... Imagine what that means to 3D games, you actually have to turn your head around to see what's behind you.. This technology can make some things really interesting

Even if we can "see" through a sandstorm by means of this goggle, can the planes handle it? I've always thought that jet engines need streams of clean and particle-free cold air in order to run....This technology can probably work through dense fog and rain, but personally I think sandstorm is pushing it a bit too far.
"Providers also said the cost for revamping their networks could run as high as $1 billion in the first year alone."
If other countries could do it, there isn't any reason why we can't, especially when we are one of the leaders in technology. As far as I can see, even if providers are not required to support portable phone numbers now, they still have to support it in the future. If they are smart, they should spend the money now to upgrade the existing cellular network. The cost will be even greater in the future. The longer they delay it, the larger our networks become and the deeper they'll have to dig into their pockets. I say do it now and do it quick.
That is precisely the reason why wireless operators are fiercely objecting to this rule.
If a provider lives up to its promises and offers decent services, the clients are unlikely to change providers. Only those who know they have bad services would want to object. I say this rule is precisely what we need to make the providers do something to improve on their services.

Pressing into this LCD not only will change the color of the image, but also change the frequency of the sound.
