Cygwin is an integral part of a remotely managed windows-based touchscreen information network we've deployed across Scotland. It's been running without issue for almost two years now, on about 30 WinXP machines.
In fact, just about everything else has gone wrong throughout this time thanks to viruses and shoddy supplied hardware, but Cygwin quietly does it's (admittedly simple) job.
