This seems a bit much to account for the "lost revenue" the music industry has been "suffering" from file sharing.
Presumably this is a scare tactic to try and disencourage college students from sharing across their networks. If they actually expect to receive all of this money they are more insane than I orginally thought
Comparing this to the dot com bubble is not really a very good comparison. No one really needed thousands of websites which attempted to sell you services that you could get from any high street shop. But I can see genuine uses for wireless technology which means that it is worth investing in.
GTA3 may have been a console exclusive but it still took 6 months to actually be released on PC after it was released on PS2
