I always get bad mod points because of fan boys and unrational people while I just try to make the people think with their own brains.
This is another example of it. blah!
Hmm what about advertising some pre-existing features as new and innovative (front camera, touch screen, applications),
when they're clearly something old and already present since ages on older non Apple phones?
What about selling a product with a clear reception defect for 800 bucks?
What about selling computers (and well as phones and mp3 players) at twice their market value just because of their brand and not because of their internal hardware (identical to other brands because nowaday based on Intel CPU).
Sure they are honest!!!;-)
Exactly, you have to see also what kind of instructions are used, how they're used and how programs are coded to benefit of those functions.
Moreover there are some Intel i5 CPUs that are dual core and other ones that are quad core, so not even the CPU family is enough anymore to know anything anymore
which makes for the average not so tech savvy buyer even more difficult to choose and to know the real differences. But mainly this is probably just pure marketing!
I'm happy we found finally the right way to conclude this and u made a point, thing that wasn't coming out earlier.
Ok about the use of doubles (like pistacchio), but about some dishes that are totally non existent I'll keep fighting...at least when they pretend they're italian! When I was in NJ a group of italian-american girl nearly wanted to start a fight just cuz I said that chicken parmigiana is not italian and if u go to italy they don't cook nor sell it. Lol! Cheers man!
I'm gonna let it go because I'm not a troll as someone marked me in this thread.
I just want to let people know how things are.
Because especially about Italy and italian culture there's a lot of disinformation, mostly spread by ignorance and by italian-american people.
It will sound weird to you to know there's no such thing as veil piccata or marinara sauce or chicken parmigiana, in Italy simply because they're not italian things, just american invention that someone decided that people should believe they're truly italian recipes when here in Italy don't exist at all. Moreover Panini is the plural of panino and that pistachio is actually correctly written pistacchio and the right way to write straciatella is stracciatella...I could go on for ages.
The only true thing said abroad about Italy is that our prime minster is a dickhead and I'm happy that abroad this is well known, I'm just sad that in Italy there are people that don't realize it.
But I'd better end it and sorry if I disturbed you, I know all this developed in an extreme OT.
Whatever, I remain of my idea especially because in the original language no one will ever say linguini.
So I don't even consider it a convention, just an "american convention".
I'm not, there are a lot of wrong conventions especially with italian words used abroad, that doesn't make them more correct at all, it just makes the amount of ignorant people bigger.
This is not valid only for italian words of course but convention doesn't make something correct and it sucks when convention makes its way in written words and not just in slang.
The only way would be reversing it so american people would read linguine as linguini but then they'd start writing it the wrong way: linguini instead of linguine.
No I'm not.
I'm italian (not italian american) and I know both languages pretty well. I live in Italy.
The spelling mistake would have been the correct thing if the final "e" in linguine had to be pronounced as the english "e" in "adobe", instead it has to be pronounced like the "e" in "red", hence linguine is the way it's written in italian and linguini is wrong in any case.
Yes but you have to throw something that exists...linguini don't!
The name of that kind of italian pasta is actually linguine not linguini,
even though people in the USA keep calling them linguini.
Go to Italy and ask for linguini, people will look at you in a weird way lol!
Exactly! Antonio Meucci was the real owner of the idea and the controversy was solved giving him his own rights, but lot of people don't know about this.
I really can't stand even the idea of this!
Ideas shouldn't be patented, but the way you realize them!
Everyone could just patent something already invented without even knowing how does it work
and then sue the real inventor who has way more
knowledge of how things work but that just didn't
want to patent every single thing?
Surely the code to show this preview is different
in every application, so now go compare the code
and see if there's still copyright infringement!
I don't like states of police like it's happening in UK and USA.
But still it's not true that guns ownership is high in Europe,
and also is not true that this is only restricted to UK and Germany.
I live in Italy, regulation is strict, murders in whole Italy in 1 year
are less than the total killings in the NYC (and it's one with the lower crime rate in US).
I didn't understand who has a population density 5 to 10 times larger than Brazil,
but on your side I understand that poverty can often sadly lead to crime.
About Germany I think people should always remember which horrible things the nazism did but should stop blaming
german people that actually live in Germany and have nothing to do with it, because let's face
it now it's history and most of the people of that historic period are dead or very old now.
In Italy even if not poor as Brasil, most of the people can't reach the end of the month
with their low salaries due to high cost of life, so many people here are below the poverty line too,
just not as much as there, but still luckily it doesn't seem like we're living in a "kill before you get killed" country.
I'm aware of the price of meat, so I can't afford it everyday either, maybe 1-3 times a week.
I see we have some thoughts in common, even though I don't think u need to actually
give kids a gun and let them handle it to teach em. Do you need to give an atomic bomb
to people to teach em about its risk? I think that since sex is banished from TV, but
violence, guns deaths and gore aren't , they can perfectly learn from there how much a gun is
dangerous (with adult supervision) without actually ever getting in contact with it or even
worse shooting.
If you don't feel the need of teaching about sex to 5 y.o. kids, why do you feel the need
of teaching em about guns so early?
And for the guy living in Brasil: it's quite clear police doesn't do its work as it should
if all that happens.
Yes sadly good people never become president.
I wrote president cuz I was gonna write something else before and forgot
to remove that.
It doesn't conflict at all with what I said, US is selling your privacy and
your freedom thinking this way you'll fight terrorism...well this is not the good
way to fight it, it's only a way to auto-inflict other damange.
What did you get from it? That now everyone is controlled, spied and you can't
behave naturally as u used to before Sept 11th.
So now it's not only terrorism, but also the politics.
So tell me why all this doesn't happen in Europe...
This is why police exists.
I didn't say totally banning the weapons, but
having a waaaaaaaay more strict regulation about it
and surely not letting kids hand guns.
I would like to know where the heck you live!
You don't own enough money to buy food but you have enough to buy guns and bullets...
Oh sure, you live in some savage forest with all creepy animals around trying to eat you,
it's surely a matter of survival!
C'mon let's be real!
There's no need of guns! How come now you're managing to live perfectly without guns?
BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT NEEDED, and always dangerous.
Outlawing Nerf guns is stupid,
you should let people have some fun.
Outlawing real guns isn't stupid at all,
the fact is that after all these years
people in US are sorta acquainted to this situation, hence it's difficult.
But I think it's still not stupid.
All this together with terrorims is leading
US and bit by bit also the other countries in the World towards a state of police.
Willing to use a quote from the U.S. president Benjamin Franklyn:
"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety".
Well this is exactly what is happening now.
This is so retarded!!! Why in USA so many people own guns? They're not toys and they're totally UNNEEDED!!! And even worse, parents letting their kids play with guns, surveilled or not, there's no safe gun, beside MAYBE toy ones. A gun should be considered always as loaded even when it's not. Have you ever thought about the reason why USA is the country with more killings compared to ALL the other countries in the world? Easy answer...guns are so common and so easy to retrieve! Guns should be owned only by police and military forces and in very special cases by people who really need em, that have a very well certified ability to use em, with certified mental stability tests and that are risking their life everyday (to justify the owning of a gun).
In all the other cases (90% IMHO) guns and any other kind of firearm should not be owned by the common people: MORE GUNS = MORE DEATHS, it's a matter of a fact.
What about datation with Carbonium 14?
I can't believe in 2007 there are still so many
people believing in stuff like creationism and that
humans lived at the same time as dinosaurs.
Maybe they're right, not all humans evolved...
So what if the recording is made with a Droid? Racists!!! ;-)
I always get bad mod points because of fan boys and unrational people while I just try to make the people think with their own brains. This is another example of it. blah!

This is why I feel much safer keeping a loaded M1 Abrams in my bedroom.
