    I like screen and shwatchr then you can reconnect to your session and if it's from a unauthorized host it gets the boot!

    OpenDocMan has helped a lot with our Graphics and Engineering department issues, similar to yours,
    ldap access to storage helped sort out who could put what ..where. The implementation took a bit of
    time to get the original files files into right locations, but it's easyer to manage now.

    As always , given the chance to "BLOG" for any real period of time , users will eventfully forget and abandon anything requiring more reading and typing then the 15 seconds it take to mix in the cream and sugar.. We have a "cooperate strategy" this year to update and maintain blogs, other then management's commitment to the work required ... lets just say that if it's not in the staffs department reviews..it's not getting done. *g* Frankly scarlet ...

    1. oo handles ; and : different the m$ orifce formulas 2. password protection is NULL both ways oo can ignore m$ and oo / m$ 3. setting one page to print in landscape is pita it can be done but it's not easy 4. the lack of outlost can be a huge detractor..if email client/calendar stuff is key check out your options 1st..I went with scalix 5. oo does not suffer bad xl formulas you'll learn quickly who really is a excel jedi and who is not 6. the consistent java updates need a better management system (pop ups to users about java ..you'll see)

    Haveing had to repair any number of these cracked lemmings 'puters' I'm sick of it..if your not willing to use a free o/s but are willing to crack the law then I'm goona give you back your virus host after a good fdisking and ..ok buhbye now thanks for the cash job. If you cant get updates and wont run at least a hw firewall and a good av then it's your own damn fault try to think of it as a darwin web smack. (let the you drive a car too ?)     I dont really care what wm it comes with & "drivers"
    equate to time to make it work
    and a nice install does not freze up with no console messages & and tetris still running
