noobs,
It's obvious what is being done here:
1- Make the deal cheaper for the 98% that don't consume massive amounts of data
2- Tighten the screws on the people hammering their network (the 2% using more than 2 Gig per month)
This makes it better for all (just not me), its a culling of the outliers
I disagree - I work for a large company and we are doing a COMPLETE redesign of our website without any help. This is not using any existing databases, and only highering 3 data entry contractors for 3 weeks we are gettting the thing done in 3 months, and this is for a company with over 2000 products with offices in multiple countries. Yeah we said it would take 6 months and management said we have 3, but we are getting it done with only 2.5 people working on it fulltime.
I am completing a project where all of our configuration pages are done via a browser. I am using XML/XSL on the client exclusively, I've found it to be an EXTREMLY efficient way to split the work, I have one person writing the backend code that outputs XML, and another (me) writing the XSL. We recommend to our users to only use IE6 or Firefox/Mozilla and have had no compatibility issues between the XSL processors. The only quirk I've run across is Firefoxes decision on occasion to not allow you to enter type into text areas, but it rarely happens. I'm also planning on using XSL-FO on some future projects for print outs of logs, etc.
Actually in professional laser shows they use a white laser fired through a special crystal that will change the color of the laser when bombarded with an RF wave www.neostech.com (variable prism). It actually can create 281,474,976,710,656 different colors 6 different colors:
red
green
blue
near infrared
near ultraviolet
and this very odd green color
The only issue to overcome is the scan rate and high enough bandwidth to the neos and scanners.
