    Speedtest is a biased sample. Those that choose to use the service are the people who are getting the higher end of the offerings for their area and they are making sure that they are getting it. The guy who got a 512 or 768 plan isn't testing out his awesome speed.

    But they fight them 'over there.' If you're in one of the countries that isn't 'over there' things are pretty good. That seems like the only thing the article author cares about. As long as the fighting is 'over there' he's not put out, it's like there is no war at all and nuclear weapons are a good thing.

    Out of sight, out of mind and that is the way it should stay.

    Everyone needs MacBooks. Pros or Airs, that doesn't matter but you must use MacBooks. All the cool developers use MacBooks. It doesn't matter what you're working on, MacBooks make it happen like 20% cooler. And that's all that matters.

    That OS X has a UNIX console is one of its strengths when talking about UNIX professionals moving to OS X so I don't know why you're holding it up as a negative.

    I have used OS X as a Linux Administrator before I missed 2 things that made me get a Linux box at work - middle-click paste and kde io-slaves (fish:// in Kate, so really I missed Kate). However, I never considered OS X 'crippled to the point of being not useful.' Assuming you're not just trolling, what exactly was wrong with OS X for you.

    You give them a way to quickly kill themselves. The whole plan is somewhat brutal, I don't see why the final step wouldn't be included.

    Large swaths of Europe were under that police state, and other eastern members spent even more time under another. It doesn't seem to have an effect on the other EU members so I doubt that's Germany's motivation.

    Yes really, I'm not surprised at all. Taken as a group, gamers are not knowledgeable about the machine they run. They don't really understand it any more then someone who just checks their e-mail from time to time. They are squarely in the users group. This is the group who will tell you that you have to reinstall Windows every 3-6 moths or you're going to have lower frame rates. They really don't care about some downtime not playing because they've convinced themselves that it is the best way to get maximum performance. These are not people that know how to maintain a system.
