There is a high degree of compartmentalization in the Intel community, so I really do not know how effective this Wiki will be. You are not allowed to share info with people you are not authorized to see it. Unless they start granting blanket clearance, it seems pretty useless. I guess they are just using general topics and have secured areas for special topics.
As far as access goes, Intelink has no outside connections, they use government owned or leased lines. You either have to tap the right fiber, and decrypt the traffic or be at an actual terminal. Probably use the special network hardware, you have to have a special connector and network card just to hook the terminal in.
The military could use the software if they wanted to, and you would never know because they would simply classify it. They simply could deny clearence to the lawyers if a suit was filed.
Because of security concerns, the federal government and us contractors are not allowed wireless keyboards, mice, networks, etc... Plus, the battery drain, even with recharables, the batteries wear out over time.
These companies have government sanctioned monopolies. While, in somes ways this is a good idea, it does not give the power companies any incentive to increase the reliability of their systems.
This plane is called the scissor wing and it already been flown by NASA in the 1980s. It was a overcomplicated, and like the forward swept wing, and was discarded. Although, maybe with the better computers and composites materials of today, it may be fesable again.
Also, the Tu-160 NATO code named Blackjack, is a very big copy of the B-1A. Being big and non-stealthy, it is a very BIG target for SAMs and AAMs. Also, while it is supersonic, it can only do it for a short period of time before it runs out of fuel. Really, you need a hypersonic bomber, or spaceplane, Mach 6 or faster to overcome SAMs, AAMs and AAA.
From personal experience of being a government contractor for over 10 years, security on government networks has a lot to be desired. First, while there are passwords and secure logins, after that most data on government networks is totally unsecure. Second, no one checks you as you walk out that door after work. Third, the government should provide a better way to work home. Everyone is working more hours, and rush hour is forever and a half here in the DC area. It would be very productive if they made working from home easier and more secure. This data could have been accessed through a VPN, making it far more difficult for it to get into the wild.
Just because some mental midget Senators, actually, their staffers, come up with a new regulation, does not mean it is the best or even if it works at all.
If mobile phones interferred with aircraft GPS receivers, how come the one in my car or on boats work perfectly fine? The ones on some boats and ships are exactly like the ones on aircraft!
They are failing in their logic! If mobile phones interfer with cockpit instraments? How come they worked sooo well on 11 Sept 2001?!!!!!! Lies! Lies! Lies! Stop it! It's over! FIrst of all at high altitude, you cannot even get a mobile signal morons! Next a low atitude, when you can receive a signal, an aircraft will immediately be notified it is off course by ATC. Either radar on the ground, on the transponder will tell ATC if a plane is off course! Now please! Stop this fool's quest!
Microsoft does not make the Xbox 360, the cheapest contract manufatures do. Think they are dumb enough to own the factories and run production? Nope, they come up with the specs, give them to contract manufatures, and they make the product. Probably paid to start the lines up, then when you pay they money is split between Microsoft and the contractor. Just like all your wonderful Gateway and Dell laptops, made in the same contract factories, who just slap in son different componantes and nametags.
How many times do I have to write this? THE PLANES FLEW WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS INTO THE TWIN TOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!! The terrorists told their hostages to use their cell phones to call their loved ones and tell them they were going to die! STOP WITH THESE DAMNED LIES!! ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!
Solid State storage devices like compact flash will be the real DVD Killer. No moving parts to break, faster access times and smaller size. It is only a matter of time. VOD is nice, but you cannot take it with you. I expect the future to a a combo of both.
All mobile phones bother speakers, but it is the navigation and flight equipment they are worried about. All of this stuff operates on totally different freqs. It has to, if not even outside equipment would cause problems. I have a Sidekick and it causes noises with speakers as well.
Mobile phones interferring with airliner operations is a lie. The Terrorist Scum had the passengers call their families before they flew into the buildings. The FAA should worry about protecting us and upgrading their ATC systems, and not bothering the passengers.
It is just payback for all those years Democrats rigged elections in Chicago, New York, and Georgia.

It's fun being a Beltway Bandit!

MI One, the address was for a newsgroup alias, not an email address. War Games was dialing directly into the Mainframe not the Internet. Ugh!
