It very handy actually. I've been doing it for the past couple years. It gives me all my contacts, calendar appointments, todos, and notes in a small package. It allows you to forget the PDA and/or Laptop and save some money by having a "dumb" phone. It baically becomes a read-only PDA.

I'm going to have it with me all the time anyway, why wouldn't you want to do it. (ok security is one, but not for me)

BTW, I've been doing it with iPodsync which is more powerful and only around $12.

I've used Yahoo! mail for years and I gladly pay the $18 a year for the plus mail. That's pretty cheap for pop3, no ads (not even text), 2gb of space, wap access on my phone, and the ability to easily use my own domain or work domain when composing a message. Not to mention some of the best spam filtering I've tried. Also it's not in beta, unlike gmail.

I've been forwarding email to my cell phone for about a year. So it may be modified, but definately not new.

My series 2 lasted 9 months. They sent me a replacement for $99. It pissed me off, but my wife and I only lasted 2 days without it. Sucks to be tied to technology...oh well.

I do the same thing with Audacity. I've got it recording the Jim Rome show right now. OUT! (I'm a closet clone)
