Traded my bank account reward points for several BestBest gift cards. I did my homework, the dollar amount was fair. Anyways, popped them down on a MBP for a big saving:)
This has been going on for well over FIFTEEN years!!! AMD simply inherited the code base from ATi and did nothing. I'm convinced it's either the driver paradigm is fundamentally broken/flawed, coders incompetent, or management not listening. But someone or group should have been fired long ago. It's time for a complete driver overhaul from the ground up!
I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds. ~Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1946
Robert C. Byrd: a Democrat US Senator and a member of the KKK. He died on June 28, 2010
I'm sure the civilized Europeans will just link the electronic throttle body to GPS. Doesn't matter what speed zone you're in, mashing on the throttle will not let you go past it.
Why would an OEM do this? Perhaps to get a discount when setting PCs with a copy of Windows 10 pre-loaded. When talking about desktop hardware, I seriously doubt Linux is the target; if it was, they should be going after server grade hardware, No, I suspect this about locking the Steam gaming platform out of the market.
Title says it all. This is a pilot program for the automotive insurance industry to offer "reduced rates". Eventually, it becomes mandatory on new cars based on some government regulated standards.
AppleTV will eventually become an iOS console. Get used to it, but custom gaming consoles may become a thing of the past once the hardware has become commoditized. You can only push 2D/3D graphics so far on a TV before hands are thrown up and "fuck it, good enough". In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this turns less into a Microsoft vs Sony as it would be Microsoft vs Apple, vs Steam in the battle for platforms and not hardware specs.
Vote for whoever will cause absolute political chaos! I mean the constructive type that will shatter the good-ol-boys clubs of officials and lobbyists. Let them watch over each other's shoulder as back stabbers; or they can do the right thing and actually LISTEN to the voters that elected them.
No, I have a problem with a bunch of wealthy elite hypocritical assholes!!! They can sell off their jet and get rid of the entourage of SUVs. I bow before no man! They won't live by the higher standards they thrust upon everyone else?? Fuck em!
It's FUD so the 1%-ers can pay penance in the form of carbon credits while in reality making the rest of us having to cut back on our resource usage. Here's a clue; the rich will only consume more off the backs of others!
At least in Texas, we can plead "no contest". It's not an admission of guilt, but rather not going to fight it either. Basically, time = money, and if I'm not at work on the clock, it's not worth the time lost in a trial.
If the case is a solid piece of milled billet aluminum, it serves as the heat-sink as well; dual purpose. Because of the great thermal conductivity that is aluminum, the phone would actually be cooler.
I've actually had my iPhone prompt me that the temperature was too hot and needed to be cooled down. Physically holding it in my hand and pressed to my face felt no hotter than having it exposed to direct sunlight. Ok, so not that hot, but it wasn't blistering either. It was comfortably warm-ish. Had this technology had the chance to dump the heat to the case, I doubt the heat build-up would have ever occurred in the first place.
I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. Of the people I talk to, almost all universally prioritize in the following order of their phone: Battery run-time, screen size/clarity, and performance. Notice how battery run-time is way up front, and CPU performance is in the back. That's because all new mobile phones have a CPU that's "good enough" to be GUI responsive. They're not trying to play PS4 quality games or mine for Bitcoins on the thing.
Well, that's effectively what the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is - a tablet with keyboard for screen cover and touchscreen. The iPad comes close with a BT keyboard, but it's limited to just the iOS world. The Surface Pro 3 is x86 Windows and PC architecture. In addition, the Surface Pro 3 also had a Docking Station with a single mini-display port.
I'm not a fan of the Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 GUI, but at least MS if forward thinking in leap-frogging to convergence here. So while I get and agree with the new paradigm concept, MS also botched the OS implementation horribly!!! And that's the travesty, it could have been executed so much better. Simply put, it's not a hardware limitation, but one of corporate management and direction.
8.1 is really SP1 repackaged as a new OS. In fact, in Windows 10 preview, there's the feature to install the latest build version. So as it stands, Service Packs are gone and replaced with latest build editions.
If both the Executive and Legislative branch continue to launch legal DOS attacks against the 2nd amendment, despite SCOTUS saying No No No, clearly the other two branches don't give a flying fuck about the rest of the constitution either. 1st Amendment, please, don't so naive! If you're not part of the political wealthy (I repeat myself) elite, you can promptly STFU as your opinion amounts to squat!
As far as computer hardware goes, consoles offers the best bang for the gaming buck. They're generational having a life of 6 years or more. PC gaming, while a superior platform IMHO, quickly becomes obsolete -per game-. Each edition of a top tier 3D game almost makes upgrading a video card a requirement; which can cost as much as a console alone. In some cases, an entire overhaul of the rig (CPU, MB, RAM, PSU...) may be required. Point is, all computing hardware advances at break-neck speeds. I'm rather surprised how well developers manage to wring out every last CPU/GPU cycle of a console towards the end of its life.
Well, at least newer consoles allow for emulation; assuming you're willing to re-purchase the game at a fraction of the original cost.
Yeah, too bad the FX Chip was expensive for what is did. I mean, by the time you could get something powerful enough to cram into a cart, such as Sega's 32x, the 16bit era was on the way out anyways.
Survival is also just evolution.

Nailed it!
I'd rather he clamp down on the H1B abuse. But we know that ain't gonna fucking happen.

Yeah well, they can suck my cock and like it!
Well, and add to the fact that France is one Islamic Revolution away. The tension in Paris alone is a tinderbox waiting to go off at any moment.

Do you honestly believe you can get proper cancer, heart, and neurosurgery in Cuba?!
So... I ask again... transfer the heat to where?

My favorite is when Flash becomes a run-away process and eats an entire core of CPU on both Windows and OSX. It truly is multi-platform shit.
If it got installed in the first place, the damage is already done. It won't decrypt files on the way out of its own accord or via forced removal.
