AMEN! While Itunes has lowered the cost of downloading music, I've seen Ebooks that cost nearly the same as the paper version! Do they think we are stupid, and don't realize the distirbution cost drop dramatically, yet none of these savings get passed on to the consumer?!
If this is so inevitable, why bitch about it? Fire up the blender, and contemplate your move to northern Canada, or Finland or someplace. I don't know about you, but I've sold my house each time one of these stories. I am getting tired of losing $$!
I can finally synch my Palm Zire 71 via the KPilot feature under Kunbuntu Linux -- surprised the crap out of me, as I had tried to synch this PDA with a dozen Linux distros before, with zero success.
Yo -- I had three different optical drives (CDR, CDRW, DVD) from three different manufacturers, bought at three different times...and all went bad right after I installed a new motherboard. Of course, I just knew the mobo was bad, right?! I mean, what are the odds??!! That cost me 2 trips to the computer repair place, and extensive examination of my mother board, etc. Boy, did I feel silly!
I had signed every legal document I came across as "Ernie".... fine until I tried to get commissioned in the Air Force. All that paperwork did not match my "Ernest" BIRTH CERTIFICATE. So, take months to change 500 or so documents...or send $5 to the state house to have the Birth Certificate amended. Hmmmmmmmm......problem solved
So you think that conservatives go into some sort of infinite loop while attempting to "choose" between two evils? Wouldn't pro-abortion liberals, who seem to be highly motivated to cure aids and advance the gay agenda at every turn, be put into the same logical loop? BTW - pray to whatever diety you feel comfortable with that morality is never going to be man-based (i.e., 1940's Germany -- it was "moral" to exterminate Jews and gays, blacks, whatever.)

hmmmmmm --- I've gone through EVERY variation of the KDE pilot applet, plus every variation of the Gnome 2.2 applet.... my Visor goes through a USB 1.0 cradle, and I can not get Linux to "see" it. I'll keep on tryin'. Thanx
I've tried a whole bunch of things, and I still can not get my Handspring to synch with any program currently on Linux. I've seen a few web links that imply the author had accomplished this task, but I am unable to reapeat it.
oh geez ---- can't you eco nutzis get anything right? Using your "logic" should we also be producing 25% of the earth's pollutions as well? We aren't, in case no one told you.
Also, there are an amazing number of studies that show the earth cools and heats without any help from humans at all!
