This is wrong. Ant-trust law is based on abuse of a dominant market position. Apple does not have one (especially in browsers). MS does.
I am an Apple customer and stock holder, but I think this is wrong ONLY due to the fact that the Safari update is apparently checked by default (I have not seen this personally). Offering software via update is fine in my opinion, as long as it isn't installed by default.
Also, I think webkit is used by itunes, so most of what Safari uses for rendering is already installed on itunes using machine already.

PS I use Firefox (and Safari) on the mac, and I like it. Having another browser option on the PC is a good thing.
It also has the GPS connection built into it, so the blabbing about needing the command line is typical for a slashdot post... We don't need the command line for that feature we had it in a GUI months ago.
Also if you are running Kismac on machine with the PCMCIA based Wavelan card, and you are using the open source wireless driver, you need to reboot after running Kismac, as it seems to stomp on the wireless driver somehow.
Kismac with the Wavelan card found 3 networks in my backyard, while the built in airport card in this PB/G4 TI found none...
OS2 wasn't a complete peice of crap either...
Still Apple has more ability to innovate, since they don't have to support as broad a hardware base...
This allows them to spend more time thinking about how to build a better widget instead of just scrambling to fix things and support company y's new hardware.

Why not use your Bluetooth cable phone as a gamepad. This old Monster still has a couple of serious tricks left up it's sleeves...
Right down to the screen that's F'n TOO SMALL...

Actually I was surprised to hear it is also shipping (at least to schools) with Mozilla preinstalled...
Cool.
Omniweb should be there too IMHO.
