It seems Slashdot posters love to bash anything with INC in their name. It is always those evil companies with all their money. The companies should be forced by legislation to share all of their assets with everyone else because I don't have Gigabit internet access in my house. Why would a company in the current market want to expend a ton of money to run fiber to each home when he is in turn forced (by legislation) to share that fiber with his competitors??? The companies competitors didn't put a dime into the new infrastructure. I look at it this way, a company spends the money for an asset (ie: Infrastructure) and in turn he owns it because he paid for it.. DUH! Just like you own your car, house, boat etc. when you buy it. Looks like some Slashdoters are going to be sharing their homes, cars, boats etc to the less fortunate in society.. It is always easier to waste other peoples money isn't it, but when it comes to your cash (assets) that's a different story..
Heavy tarrifs should be put on all companies who wish to operate outside the United States. Companies are hiring more and more people outside the United States to "enhance" profits. For every person hired outside the U.S. there is a person living in the U.S. who just lost his job. So as long as people support this idiocy we will have more and more people collecting un-employment. Oh, and who pays for un-employment? U.S. workers. I am sick and tired of all the idiots who support "Globalization" as a religion, the more "Global" we become the less we focus on ourselves as a country. If everyone wants the U.S. to become a third world country keep supporting companies in other countries..
To all of you "Doom and Gloom" liberal nuts you should have studied more economics. If I remember correctly an "Evil Corporation" produces an evil product, you as the "Holy" consumer gobble up the product and that in turn provides "Evil" revenue to keep them in business. If you are "TRULY" that concerned about one "Evil" company "controlling" the media then stop listening to the radio and watching TV. If you are in the "Majority" that will cause their revenue to drop and open the door for smaller companies to buy into the "Big Evil Company".. Also, if you rely entirely on media to form an opinion then you are hopeless cause. Working in the IT field I constantly hear the same "Evil Company" label used conjunction with Microsoft. If the "majority" of people are really that upset with the products delivered they would quit purchasing them. Get a life..

This will definatly decrease their revenue.. It seems people have forgotten the definition of the word "tax" so here is a little reminder. I especially like "3"...;)

FYI to ALL! When politicians say "Closing Loopholes" that means they are raising or adding additional taxes.. Don't complain when you get nothing back because you are doing it for the greater good..
