Is this the future of open source? I mean all this talk of lawyers all the time is getting old already. I think that we should stand up for ourselves and our rights, it just seems to me that the best way for microsoft or anyone else to beat us is to kill us with lawyers all the time. I think we need a landmark case right now! We need to settle all the issues now. Or it could be the issues will never go away. Is this what microsoft wants?
Because your avg joe or sue six pack dont know how to really use linux. Its like you learning to read and going from kiddie book #1 to the bible in two hours. Linux IS better but most folks dont know what they are missing. They just think a 'puter is 'puter.
thats right, but more system process running also equels more code and more chances for real conflicts. Its really all an issue of using a computers finite (yes finite) resources efficiently and minimizing conflicts. Although linix used to have bad race issues they are now cleaned up.
i agree entirely. Occasionaly my x may freeze but i do a rescue and am cruising. I also use my linux a lot for games. I never had a problem even with rhat 6.1
so what? Microsoft is more stable now than before. Can i please its source code to verify no system V unix was incorporated? Thing is systems crash cause we aint happy with things they way they are. We like to make the computing experiance "interesting".

I agree with you but the problem is funding. If IBM really wanted to shake it up they should invite the open source community leaders to the party in utah! Quite simply sco manages to paint all linux users as pirates and thieves. I believe however that we are on the right side of things and that linux will emerge stronger and more free. A libel lawsuit would be cool as @@#% though.
