A 19" rack is a hole 17" wide with 1" wide ears that you can screw your equipment into. If the equipment is permanently mounted just cut a hole 17" wide by the height of your equpment in a piece of 1/2 inch plywood and use pan head #10 wood screws through the holes in the ears on the equipment. Yery cheap and simple, just think outside the box and save a Yugo (no recycled metal brackets needed).
Exercise is good, (I run 5 miles a day). Good food is better.
But the most important thing is attitude.
If you are not grateful for your privilage to study then you should take a year off and work. I found I did a lot better in grad school because I was really grateful for the opportunity after working in a job I didn't like. If you don't believe me just really talk to any of the foreign students in your enviroment that had to work really hard to get to the position you are in.
