James *T* Kirk, and other errors...

Note that the kid says his name is James *Cyberious* Kirk and *NOT* James Tiberius Kirk.
Hope they aren't going with the old evil twin formula, or worse yet, changing the life of kirk himself so that its not too much of a departure from... the Kirk... we know... and love.
More than likely tho, just poor editing.
Also agree with the other poster earlier that the top auto-magically coming down during the chase broke continuity.
I'd also love to see the math on how much force it would take to leap from a speeding car going at 70+ mph with sufficient force that you essentially nullify all momentum within a 10 foot skid as depicted in the trailer.
As well as a little more to do with the actual PLOT would have been nice, thus far plot is juvenile offender handed expensive ship painted in shiny bright colors and then proceeds to pick a fight with the local bully as well as abuse his own crew. Nice family movie for next summer, great role models for the kids, lol.
"The Return of the Bling Bling"
and/or
"The Lord of the Oscars"
On a side note, they should probably add a new oscar category for best actor award for a group performance. The combination of the actors for LOTR was almost flawless. In hindsight, any other set of actors would not have done the movie justice. Elijah Wood, Ian MacKellan, Vigo Mortenson, et. al. did great justice to the J.R.R. Tolkien works.
Also, the academy needs to get with the times and add another category for best actor in a digital role, ie. Andy Skerkish (sp?), where the actor performs or is source material for a digital actor. It is still that actors performance that brings the digital character to life. Golumn (and the split personality scenes) ruled!
IANAP So essentially, if you turned off the 'containment field' of the lightsaber, it would then became a 'light blaster'. This would also follow with lightsabers actually tapering to the end (at least from an appearance perspective). It could also explain the interaction of two duelling mixed color sabers, trying to cancel out two independent frequencies, colliding and emitting the resultant flashes of 'altered' frequency of light. All speculation of course.
