Currently, I am able to play quake 3, warcraft 3, unreal tournament 2003, and wolfenstein enemy territory, all on red hat. I never really was a HUGE fan of half life.. but what I am waiting for is DOOM 3, which will surely have a linux port:) If you are a hardcore linux gamer, the next big thing will be from id.
Anyone tried to get this working? I've had quake 3 working on several linux distros and freebsd, it'd be cool as hell to play it on ps2 on a big screen over the internet.. let me know.
Well maybe they got better, I have a radeon mobility 7500 in my dell laptop, I get good fps running at 1400 x 1050 but its got a flaw at lower resolutions.. the bottom of the screen is all messed up. nVIDIA's drivers I use with my geforce 2 mx, easy as hell to install. Just run the script and hit enter a couple times, then restart X. Maybe I'll check out their 9800.
Too bad ATI drivers suck ass. Especially for linux / FreeBSD. I am waiting for the release of DOOM3 then will be purchasing a new video card just for the game. Unless I hear some spectacular from ATI, I'm gonna have to stick with my man nVIDIA.:)
it seems not very many people are using the bit torrent link... I'm only getting 8 kb/s ack.

what a beast..
It's my understanding that BSD does not contain System V code.. they have nothing to worry about.
Could someone just nuke SCO so we don't have to read about it anymore?
