    People feel like you devalue their emotional investment in struggling to learn how to use the dysfunctional software.

    Maybe upgrading bandwidth is not always the solution, reducing bandwidth usage goes a long way. So you should either change the cafeteria menu or raise prices

    Rugged or Dust proof or waterproof or shock proof all cost money. There are various standards that apply like MIL-STD 810F or IP54/65. Maybe you just need a good enclosure and shock proof drive and the rest can be standard. Check the temperature ranges on specs and you will be surprised.

    They are right it won't work.
    You can say it is an internet browser with an OS attached to it.
    Microsoft does not understand the concept of maintaining clean interfaces.
    This is the reason why their code is bloating all the time.
    This is the reason why the OS is dependant on the browser which is dependant on COM which is dependant on the OS which is dependant on the office suite etc....
    They are making the most basic mistakes in building software.
    They will surely fail and are making room for competition by their own incompetence.
    Open Source will prevail.

    It is interesting that most replies refers to commerce.

    There are a lot of different communities getting together on the internet and your belief that the only influence is commerce is an indication that you are not ready to accept any changes unless you can feel it in your pocket.

    People are bound together by things other than an audit trail!
