Why don't you start him on mods, scripts or skins of a game he already plays? A non-trivial (i.e. attractive and fun) game is going to be hard for him to build from the ground up.
An addition to a game (even if it's just putting Pokemon artwork on someone's armor) is more bite-sized.
Furthermore, if the mouse gestures are simple enough, they could be triggered accidentally by users who have no idea why the browser just sent them back to their home page, when they really meant to highlight some text.
How insightful. Clearly because I participate in an amusing Slashdot tradition, it means I like cock instead of pussy. Someone mod this guy up to Score:5, Insightful.
At least you had the balls to attach your nickname to your homophobic posturing.
P.S. If you hate stupid comments so much, then why are you reading at Threshold (-1)? So you can't miss an opportunity to be cool?
Sure: a blank canvas would overwhelm most people.
... where do I start?" isn't an issue with MySpace.
"Oh Jeezz
Good idea. If that's the case, you could use Adblock (which can do OBJECT and EMBED, not just IMG and SCRIPT) on those domains.
I feel your pain, but no.
Apparently Friendster is adding them too.
How freaking obnoxious.
I also recommend that people start sharing their own user-defined stylesheets (like they've done with Gmail), so this site no longer looks like crap.
Like a CSS Zen Slashdot.
But I've never *installed* Windows. It just comes with all my computers, free! ;)
Oh just shut up and respect their culture!
Or maybe just a thousand of us firing off wget -r in their direction. Redirect it to /dev/null...
And get dropped from your ISP!
So, do "atomic" commits solve the promblems caused by renaming files?
CVS thinks they are one added file and one deleted file, not one moved around.
The best you can do AFAIK is mention the old filename in your comment.
oops
that should be "meets" not "vs."
That's true.
Most of the time I ask coworkers for help, they don't even have to respond.
Their ears solve the problem as often as their brain.
Love the .sig!
It's like anti-Japanese protectionism vs. anti-Mexican protectionism.
Wow, a Slashdot book review with a rating in the 3-8 range.
(Please, nobody actually research this. It's a wisecrack, not an assertion.)
If you can pan a colleague's work without ruining your personal relationship ...
...
... ... then the terrorists have already won!
If you can praise gay literature without coming out of the closet
If you can say The Matrix (the first one) was pretentious and overrated without losing all your friends
Go play with yourself.
Not if Darth/Anakin chops off Jar Jar's head with a light saber.
Yeah, since karma is "excellent" and not a number, I might as well do some trolling when I'm in the mood.
"What's your take?"
It's too fscking early to say.
Stop talking out your ass and speculate on something important, like Episode III.

That's interesting. Why not shave it entirely? Was a moustache a requisite sign of virility?
would've voted for McCain, but he didn't last long enough
I gave him a write-in vote (in Virginia).
And, yes, I'm proud of myself.
And, of course, there's nothing stopping this kid (?) from programming on his own time, to start building that requisite hands-on experience.
OK how about something within the past 500 years?

No thanks; I'm staying away from simple carbs.
