The article doesn't say the Mark I incident was the origin of the term "bug." What the article says is that this was the first known computer bug. If you're going to be pedantic, it pays to read what the article actually says.
Although MS doesn't go out of their way to publicize the utter failure of Bob, they haven't forgotten it, either. The MS museum on the Redmond campus prominently displays Bob as a failure and lesson to be learned.
