i'd say in PS3's case, all press like this is great press, and the mystery creates 'headlines' like this one on slashdot. people get talking about it, and start thinking about skipping the x360 and saving up for this amazing mystery system.
remember the INCREDIBLE ps2 cpu hype? they made it sound like the ps2 had A.I.. It turned out to just be nothing special at all. i just wonder how long before disc read errors start popping up with the ps3..
if you wanna see the best way of ignoring infringement complaints about bittorrent, read the piratebay's legal threats section.. http://thepiratebay.org/legal.php
This is good, I think, but why have the prices been so stagnant.. at least where I live in Canada.. the cost of broadband has been roughly the same for a long time if i'm not mistaken, and where is Internet 2 that we've heard about that so much faster? Shouldn't the cost be going down with this increase in usage?
A friend of mine who works at Future Shop told me that one of the only things she doesnt get discounts on as an employee are laptops. Why? Because Futureshop sells them at the same price they get them for. They don't make a profit on them. They're really pushing everyone to go mobile..
there is a program called MusicBrainz tagger, and you can download it and run it agains all your mp3s to tag them properly

it uses each mp3's digital signature to do this, and works fairly well, though if most of your songs are off p2p and not ripped cds, it has more trouble due to crappy variations..
