  1. Skinny Fat on UK's FSA Finds No Health Benefits To Organic Food · · Score: 1

Not all carbs are bad, and you need them to process other nutrients. Complex carbs like sweet potatoes, whole grain rice/pasta, and oats are good. The should be consumed with a portion of lean meat (protein), and veggies/fruit. Although healthier than most, you are still what they call "skinny fat" and I wouldn't be bragging. Eating pasta meals out of a box every night is probably not the best diet.

  2. Online backup is a better solution on Online Website Backup Options? · · Score: 1

As many stated before I think you have better options. Many backup services can give you "Delta", or "Incremental" backups. For each backup only data that has changed gets uploaded. The advantages to this are lower bandwidth, and the ability to have restore points. If you check around there are many companies that offer this.

I've helped people fix slow, and unresponsive Vista systems. I can say with confidence it is as bad as people think. When general computer users tell you they're afraid to upgrade because all new machines ship with Vista there is a problem

  4. tasty on Kimchi in Space · · Score: 1

I have to say I really enjoy the taste of kimchi. I do however think about what I'm doing later that day, and monitor my consumption accordingly. If you eat too much the odor seeps out of your pores. The first time I returned from Japan my sister commented on how bad I smelled. I quickly figured out it was from the food there. It's understandable how the strong smell turns some people off.

  5. The skycar is a cool concept...... on Last Sky Commuter For Sale On eBay · · Score: 1

It makes absolutely no sense from an efficiency standpoint. Most of the energy is used to create enough vertical thrust to hover. Very little energy is used to propel it in a horizontal direction. With all the focus on decreasing energy consumption I don't see this happening anytime soon.

There was another hybrid concept that used fans to generate lift until it gained enough forward velocity for the wings to generate lift. At this point you're flying a modified vertical take-off plane, and it still doesn't make any sense.
