One more thing. Do you have any idear about the price(Or just price range(1000$ 10000$ ??) for ObjectStore? All I could find on their website was a "call us for pricing", and it is my expierence that when a companies don't dare to offer a price on their website it's because their product is extreamly expensive.

The problem is that nobody have ever made a "decent OODBMS". I have at least not been able to find any, but if you know of any, i would be really interested in our expierence with it.

But there are lots of datacenters in EU with space to rant, so what is the point in bring your own, insted of just renting a rag or to in a datacenter?
The solution is to use multiple processes insted of multiple threads. Then you have to use explicit message passing to exchange data. (If you are working on large dataset, you might want to allocate the memmory in shared memmory, and then just use messages to cordination and communication.
But Microsoft don't controll the web at all. They don't run the majority of webservers or mail servers.
They do make the most used webbrowser, but they can't really use that for anything anymore. I have not seen an "internet explorer only" website on the public internet, within the last 12 months.
And having internet explorer, does not help them sell other producs. IIS for example is just as good(ore bad) whenever the client are using, internet explorer, mozilla, firefox or seamnokey.
I don't think Nintendo 64 is running anything that could be called a "mainstream operating system". I am pretty sure it don't even come with software to support threads.

Yes, but what other tasks are running(Remember: Running is actuelly doing something, not just waiting for input) while you are playing? You might have a firewall and anti-virus installed, but there cpu usage will be 1% so running them on the other core, is not really that much of a boost.
I think the reason is that theese packages are part of the os, and thus they could be upgraded to incompatible versions, in the future, and thus cause the Oracle tools not to work.
Now it depend on what the definition of cheating is. But going back to my original text which say
which just mean that if you got a reference to a class A, then you know that the object is of the type A, or of a class that extend A. (And similary for the buildin types)
So one could say, that you can try to cheat on the compiler, but It don't care becasue it knows the jvm will stop the actuelly type convension at runtime if it is wrong.

But Microsoft don't give out ANY code to the new ui. So it's a
"Ok you may clone our look and feel, but you have to write all the code your self."
Writing a normal look and feel application would be much more easy, because windows contains much of the needed widget code.

They already have that I think. The temperture in my computer does raise when I play 3d Games, and it does fall again when I stop playing.

Neither IE6 nor IE7 supports any xhtml at all.
It just treat all xhtml as html if you send it as text/html and as pure xml with no semantic meaning if you send it as xml. (It shows the xml tree)
