I want to build my own external USB 2.0 drive; however searching on google etc. has not yielded any pertinent results. I know this is off topic but can a do it yourselfer do this? Thanks for the input good or bad.
I wanted a computer with a 17 inch monitor. Trust me, I wanted to buy from Dell, however they dropped the ball big time when they decided to not go with a 17 inch screen.
Actually it was a version of knoppix, knoppix std. Also, the best buy salesman wasn't happy that I was wanting to use an outside cd to boot the computer. I just told him I wasn't spending 2800.00 on a computer that couldn't do the things I needed it to do.
I used a knoppix cd at best buy when looking for a new laptop. The salesman told me that I would not be able to run a linux distro on the toshiba Satelite p25-s607. I was happy to find out upon inserting the cd that I could indeed run linux. This was approx 3 months ago and the salesman said they wouldn't have drivers out for the video card for 6 months, of course he was wrong.
I could be wrong, however my CS prof. today said that unix was given away to the students in the 70's and they charged 21,000.00 to a corp. This is just what I was told, however I have no real reason to doubt him.
Well said, I hate to even get involved in this never ending war, but you have a great point. I somtimes sit back and think what/. would be like without the daily ms vs. linux argument. just my 2 cents... again
Just a thought, but if another OS was as widely used as MS, I am quite sure in thinking that they would be the victim of more attacks. Just my two cents.
So are we going to start seeing the fancy labels which are on all the other foods? I wonder what they will consider the recommended serving size? Personaly,I would like to see them use 6 cans as the RDA.
