Not sure if most people know this, but Florida does not have a State income tax.
The states largest single source of income is the tourism trade (33 billion+ a year).
Over the past 2 years the states tourism trade has been on the decline (as most travel related services have).
For those reasons, the state is looking for other
sources of income.
Not that I agree with the foolish LAN plan.
Just thought it should be put into perspective.
