How can you take vacations when millions of people are anxiously waiting for TAOCP volumes 7 and 8, so they can put it on their bookshelf and never once read it?
Donald Knuth will be writing THE definitive book on bytecode languages in TAOCP volumes 11-12. I don't see any reason to dick around with some amateur's feeble attempt.
... that ORA uses FrameMaker and Microsoft Word to do their typesetting. When they start using TeX, I'll be able to read their books without feeling the urge to gouge out my eyes.
too bad you didn't tell us anything useful. Like if the book was typeset in TeX, like if it has good margins, and if it has fully-justified paragraphs. I think most ggeks take pride in appearance and aesthetics.
Personally, I'll just wait for TAOCP volumes 9 and 10 which will be the definitive guide on network programming for all operating systems.
Did he forgetcrazy idea #10: not typesetting a book with TeX? I mean, if you want your book to be readable, you need to use TeX for the typesetting.
