LMFAO, you know you could work some extra hours with housekeeping to supplement your income. Janitors working for the Metro make about 5 times what you do once overtime is factored in. Sounds like you already have building keys so should be good to go! Sell it to your boss as a corporate money saving idea. At what you're being paid, the illegal alien janitor they have now probably costs more. Oh! Even better, by getting rid of Pedro, they decrease the risk of identity theft. He's probably been going through the bins looking for ways to get docs for his friends and family, after all.

  2. You're a weird little troll. SV and Seattle are dominated by Blue types. Your lib overlords just want your vote. However, they like to pander, so why don't you reinvent yourself as a trans-gendered person of a convenient ethnicity? That could help you get into a govt job or at least nice gigs as a "political actor" during a "peaceful protest". You can show up to conservative town halls and pretend to be a constituent! How about Antija, they're a fun bunch. Black masks, weapons and fire starting tools are fun accessories.

Okay, next. Who's fault is it that you didn't pay attention in school? Picked a crappy major? Partied while the other kids were doing homework? Did drugs while the others exercised? Went to jail for stealing stuff with your cool friends. Every crap event in your wasted life has one thing in common: YOU! I know the libs have convinced every failed culture in the world that they are victims of the productive members of society, but that is a lie and they use it to keep you right where you are with their enabling policies and lies.

I had a stint of hard time and even welfare. I had to enter the job force without a degree and worth REALLY hard to make it while still working to complete a degree. I'm not wealthy now, but I'm glad I'm not dependent on the govt through clean living, hard work and studying. So, if you aren't useful enough to survive in some maggot pile of a city, try moving away -- or even better -- developing yourself instead of being a pathetic whiner.

P.S. We are all somewhat sorry that Obama lied to you during his 8 year bling trip. Even the Nobel committee wishes they could get that award back. he accomplished nothing but a bit of pandering. Now, we're having to endure the pain of another path -- why, oh why did they have to run the only person on the planet that actually could lose to Trump, FFS! Was Charles Manson too busy to run this year?

Can't climb even a moderate hill with most of these things. Someone needs to tell Lib-Bob politician that wattage != speed. Misguided, overbearing, nanny-state morons are regulating things they can't begin to understand with their only skills being lying and teeth whitening.

This idiot. The FEC hit more voting machines than the Russians did during the election. Where's the outrage about the federal government helping the current administration? Or Susan Rice putting the existing government's opponent under direct survelience of the governent? The narrative that Trump and Putin like each other is completely contrived or else why would we be threatening each other with war over Iran and Syria? The Democrats have been promising to give Russia the world since Obama's hot mike incident. That's just what is commonly known. If I were Putin, I would want the Democrats in office. The Russians never hacked never hacked the DNC. Why do you think all those high profile Democrats died immediately after the leaks under shady circumstances? Because they were the leakers! They leaked because their corrupt party gave Hillary the nomination when Sanders earned it. Whatever Trumps flaws are (I didn't vote for him in the primary), Russia is not one of them.

Interesting claims, I've seen variations but nothing concrete resembling proof - just more "coincidences". I'd have bet good money on Sanders winning if he'd been nominated.

  5. Well, unless things improve dramatically, the only way Trump will win in 2020 is if they run Hillary again.

  6. Oh lordy, you're a shrill one. I haven't read such nonsensical hysteria since the day pay-for-play Killary lost and you apply this very special approach to everything, it seems. If it's any comfort, the DNC could have beaten Trump with ANY other candidate than her, including even you. He better work on a lot of issues or it'll be a landslide against him in 2020.

  7. Time to start thinking about what this brain drain will eventually do to our readiness with respect to national security. If a large portion of our tech talent is foreign, what happens when it decides to move against us? Will we be ready for the next world war? We're already getting our butts handed to us in the cyber realm. What about trade secrets and personal info? it's nuts, we're in the Tech dark ages right now with mindless management drones recklessly hurting our long term economic and national security prospects. Look what that buffoon did to Yahoo and she stands to sail away with almost 200 million USD after the acquisition.

  8. Yeah, it's extra awesome that he was let go right before he was eligible for retirement. Is your goal to have companies dump older talent and be subsidized by the government by having welfare, unemployment and other benefits paid by the tax payer? We need to find a way to automate most management and HR functions so they finally understand our plight. The almighty shareholders will appreciate the cost savings.

  11. Uhh...this is known as an INFORMATION age for a reason. The best expanding jobs are in the information technology field. Plus information sharing and collaboration are primarily done through the Internet. So Broadband is an essential part of that. Saying that people can always find money from somewhere is not a reason for making it harder to get something that is essential for people need to know how to use to be successful (or even has a basic middle class living) or even get basic services we consider essential to life in our society. Otherwise we create a 3rd world country (and even these are getting Internet cheap/free). That leads to corporation squeezing blood from stones. To quote Jurrasic Park, "People were so busy figuring out if they could, nobody shopped to think if they should".

Nah, we just outsource and off-shore the good tech jobs. Apparently, the USA needs more college professors, financial services ponzi scheme types, lawyers and politicians. Maybe these folks will understand the plight when their jobs are outsourced or automated en-mass. I used to agree with you, figuring there couldn't be a more new economy and secure career than IT. Studied and worked in multiple disciplines for years. Still got worried enough to jump into government since the security clearance requirement would help protect me from off-shoring and most outsourcing. It's working, but isn't a dynamic environment, to say the least.

  12. Red states have sh*t Internet and manage to get by just fine. I was paying almost $100 per month for 10 MB/s in a suburb of SLC a year ago. Now, I'm in the middle east and have 50 MB/s fiber for $70/mo.

Major cities tend to have it a lot better than the rural areas, despite the billions that have been spent over the years to subsidize connectivity to all (rural and inner-city). Where that money went is where the outrage should be. It's pathetic to hear more idiotic banter about which filthy political party stinks more -- that's the game they want us to be playing while both sides enrich themselves.

  13. When voting becomes an online-only activity, guess which party stays in power.

OMG, really? Sounds like the same fallacy that suggests its an undue burden to have any kind of govt ID, but it's no problem whatsoever to show up to vote. Don't worry, if Trump doesn't stop the non-stop amateur hour stuff, you'll get the WH back in 2020. Repubs won't be able to run anyone against the incumbent president, so all the left has to do is not run Charles Manson, Elizabeth Warren or Hillary Clinton -- unless the administration starts explaining themselves, slow down the flip-flops, remember that just a bit over half the country voted for the other guy, and look up what spin means and why politicians should give a crap enough to use it (Republicans never tell their story well).

Agreed, current hiring practices almost guarantee that you will have limited options without the B.S. piece of paper. Most degrees that currently "require" a degree certainly don't actually need one. There are so many applicants out there that it can be made mandatory to weed out spurious applicants . Wouldn't surprise me if fast food jobs "require" one in 20 years.

So yes, to fit the new model, one must find a way to get a degree paid for or endure a period of indentured servitude.

Programming job descriptions I see require "CS or EE degree, or other 4 year degree with equivalent relevant experience". And they typically take someone without a degree if they have some really good references.

Hmm, maybe in small firms. If a degree is requested, HR will automatically file 13 any application without it regardless of accomplishments or references. I always ask for an experience equivalent or combination of education and exp to ensure I'm not relying solely on a piece of paper. References are typically a waste of time as they will never paint the entire picture - only the side the applicant is wanting to present and has carefully filtered.

  24. Yes, intentionally recording a confidential communication without consent is a felony. See Cal. Penal Code 632. Just making the recording without consent subjects you to possible civil liability as well. See Cal. Penal Code 637.2. The crimes for which you can secretly record individuals to without their consent to obtain evidence of criminal activity are limited, largely to extortion, kidnapping, bribery, and felonies involving violence against the person. See Cal. Penal Code 633.5. Obtaining consent to record the communication is the best way to avoid these possible penalties in California.
