Actually, China is quite small... They DON'T have much space. Go look at a map. Add to that that they've got about 1,1 billion people there...
Go look at a map? How bout look at stats.. OK first, it was a joke, space on the earth has nothing to do with space in the air. Stupid, yes, but I felt like posting it, hehe. Second, China is the 3rd largest country in the world by land mass, I'd hardly call that small. Third, they _do_ have a lot of space. The population, bonehead, is actually about 1.3 billion, not 1.1 billion, and you take that from the 9596960 sq km of land they have, that makes about 135 people/sq. km. That's not bad, if you consider that a country like where I live, The Netherlands, has about 15 million people in 13100 sq km, or about 1145 people/sq. km.
Get your facts right bud, especially if you're gonna get all righteous over a joke (and a stupid joke at that).
It could be at the US' expense. If you think about it, this is a perfect opportunity for China to gain an advantage in the world by sending weapons into space. Granted, this is probably a long time off, but it's possible.
Still, I don't think we should be trying to stop them from space exploration. If you ask me, I think any progress is good progress. I think Charles Babbage once said something like, "Whatever can be done, will be done. There's no stopping progress." Those aren't the exact words but it's something along those lines.:)
There's also a bunch in the San Francisco airport, if I remember correctly from the last time I was there.. They're quite useful actually; you can easily check your regular pop mail and they even give you 5 free minutes (or 10, i can't remember) and then it's fairly cheap after that.
Well I'm the guy running that Palm pics page... hi all. And, yes, Palms tend to be more expensive, but they're by FAR the best thing out there.. I shelled out the $600 for a Palm VII because it kicks some serious arse. There's no competition with Windows CE (1) because.. well.. it's Windows! and (2) because you shouldn't try to shove an entire desktop OS into a palmtop computer. It doesn't work, and it isn't necessary. Palm's about what people *need*, not all the fancy extras (though, I understand, the price doesn't reflect the lack of those fancy extras, but it's so worth it it's not even funny). The $600 I spent on my Palm VII are the best $600 I've spent in a long time.

So when will China begin to oppress space aliens? I assume it's not too far off. :)
And by the way, why the hell do they need to be up in space with all the space they have in their damn country already!
