where's all the helpful slashdot ammo this kid was going to use to convince his parents to buy one? seems like he might be stuck with 'just' a laptop:P
The only Disney movies I've actually paid to see in the last few years were all Pixar animations. Now that Pixar's gone, Disney doesnt have much left, and I dont think a little cell phone screen is going to make their animations look any better. I think they need to focus on creating quality features before they try and start selling them...unless they're trying to bypass stores all together and go to a direct-to-phone distribution..
I'm not really sure about what was orignially posted, but in some ways it does sound an awful lot like ZBrush..I've seen it demo'd at the macworld expo on a few occasions and its a pretty cool looking piece of software
So how long until we can start sending each other copies of our CD collection instead of a lossy rip of it? Maybe include the jewel case and cover art too?
Yeah, but a lot of these filesharing programs turn on sharing by default,,no user intervention required. Anyone who just opens it up and downloads is also uploading, most likely without even knowing it. A couple years ago at my university (Syracuse) the campus network was becomming serverely bogged down (almost 100% capacity most of the day), and it turned out it was because of Kazaa and Morpheus turning everyones computer into a fileserver. Instead of blocking the ports, there were a couple articles in the student newspaper about how to disable the filesharing. Enough people got the message and disabled sharing, so the university never had to take any further action.
