  1. Don't know how to ged rid of spam on New Spam Site Found Every Three Seconds · · Score: 1

I live in Turkey. There's a boom in broadband internet access lately and that's the main cause that we're listed in the top 3. People buy broadband but don't know how to secure their computers and that's why most of the systems are taken by spam bots and so. Also the corporates, even they make investment on the subject, they're spreading the spam because of poor management of their security stuff. I think we'll hang there for a while till we learn how to protect our systems.

  5. They're in Turkey too. on Where are Wii? · · Score: 2, Informative

I just came from the mall and each and every tech store has Wii on the shelf. Even with our enormous VAT (%18), it's very cheap and you can find plenty of them with Sports pack included for 699 TL (approx. USD590) On the open market you can have it for USD450 without the Sports pack. -- http://www.internet.gen.tr/

  6. Re:DC power distro on EPA Sends Data Center Power Study to Congress · · Score: 1

Those Rackable guys http://www.rackable.com/solutions/greencompute.htm already did a DC powered system and they claim up to 30% of decrease in power consumption. Also Sun Niagara chipped servers http://www.sun.com/servers/coolthreads/se_t1000/fe atures.xml lower the energy consumption considerably compared to other x86 systems. They're naturally suitable for virtualization at the same time.

  7. Hypervisor for both on Performance Evaluation of Xen Vs. OpenVZ · · Score: 2, Interesting

We're using HyperVM from LxLabs http://www.lxlabs.com/ and it manages both OpenVZ and XEN. You can easily watch the performance penalties of both virtual machines from the same panel and migrate in between. So whenever someone abuses OpenVZ you can migrate it to XEN.
