The X prize is about paving the way for paying customers to get to space. It's about developing a cheap re-usable space craft to do it. Lighting off hair chemicals for launches and crashing for landings? You gonna pony up for that? Go ahead. I'll call Rutan for my flight, thanks.

The freakin thing is powered by hydrogen peroxide and crash lands on it's nose. Are you goin up in it? Rutan has the X prize wrapped up.

Whatever happened to watching a movie for entertainment? If I want facts and details, I will watch Discovery or The Learning Channel. If I want to be entertained I'll go watch a movie. Sometimes we tend to overthink stuff.

T3 was a waste of money. Definately a rental. The CGI in the Hulk is great. Go the see the movie and be amazed.

I thought 19,000 was a goal not yet achieved. I apologize if I'm not up to speed. Is that a pun? Either way It's all impressive as can be. Top Fuel Funny Cars can't be put on a dyno because there isn't one that can measure that kind of horsepower.

Basically the 10th amendment. That was the basis for South Carolina's split with the big boss. It doesn't exactly read "Yo, you can't do this" but it does say the states do have rights. New Hampshire or Vermont (I can't remember which) votes every year to leave the Union.

  8. Sports Tech..... on Sports Technology? · · Score: 1

Anytime you can take a V-10 engine and turn it at 13,000 rpm, that's technology. So much so that the connecting rods (pistons for the computer geeks) actually strech and that has to be accounted for. Take a V-8 engine and make it produce 7,000 horsepower and go 300 mph in 4 seconds, thats technology. From Lance Armstrongs newest concept bike he will race to Top Fuel Drag Racing, it's all impressive.

  9. Re:Where are all the Terrorists on Anti-Patriot Act Movement Expands · · Score: 1

There have been numerous news reports of terrorist acts that have been stopped. The bombing of the Space Needle in Seattle is just one. I am sure there are many acts that have been stopped buy the government that we don't know of. I don't know what choice the President had but to invoke some kind of act to prevent future attacks. If he sat idly by and did nothing, that would have been just as bad wouldn't it? However, as a Republican I do disagree in part with the Patriot Act, but what could have been done to soothe the American people after we were attacked? The average person, I believe, wants to see "something" done.

The states can still leave the Union when they want. I wonder if any legislators remember this part of the Constitution?

Two hundred years ago, revolutions were started over these things. Now the sad thing is, even by typing that sentence, I could be looked at by the authorities as subversive.
