The Document gos it the history of basicly three open source projects perl, apache, and sendmail. It just retelling the story of these applications and people made money off them.
What if you read the source code of a GPL program then use the ideas from that code to produce a NON-GPL program but you were mentaly infected by the GPL code would that program fall under GPL?? Something to think about
The would ease bottle necks on all networks but the tre bottle necks will be the cpu and the harddrive mostly the hardrive they should start looking into this technology for the parts in the computer
Another country or private entity will take the ideas that Nasa has and rework them to achieve the this mission to mars. If Nasa wants to stay a leader it needs to regroup and make it work.
You can only expect mistake like the lost of the probes will happen you don't really know what is out there. What would by very interesting if some little tiny country beats the United States to mars. I think in my life time I will see a manned mission to mars. Hopefully I will get to a least go into outer space in my lifetime.
These guys doesn't want to duplicate thier efforts when there are other people out there doing the same thing. Almost like code reuse. This make total sense to me
I am glad to see this happening. The amount of new Delphi applications that will ported over will be interesting to see. I like to see other people throw their in the linux ring.
Ahh yes that was the first language I learned and the first software package that I bought (instead of borrowed). It is great that borland is doing this I can now use a borland pascal on linux. Gotta love it
People tend to follow the path of least resitance That is why NT and Windows9x solutions are out Everyone believe them to the easiest things to use. I seen a payment terminal at a movie theater that crashed and it was running windows 95.I would have shot the devoloper myself. I would have choosen QNX/BSD/LINUX/OS2/DOS (not in that order) over windows95 any day but agian people don't think about what they are doing so that is why things like this happen. There are some things that I can devolop Unix that would take a longer time in window95 then the opposite is true. You always need to know that that people are going to use what they want no matter what people do or say
Gives a new meaing to taping one's mouth shut
