    The response about Bush was based on his PREVIOUS posts. Is it all that difficult to believe I've read his posts before?

    Why be an asshole man? I wasn't. It's not that hard to be reasonable, but I'm not a geek, so my social skills are more developed. Maybe it is hard to be nice for people like you.

    That's the problem in a nutshell. You blast one side fo rbehavior, then do exactly the same thing in response, and the worst part is you can't see it.

    No matter your feelings about our current government, calling them fascist is just hyperbolic.

    Of course, now we'll see the other part of the problem, the complete inability to acknowledge a lucid point, even though you disagree. Instead, I expect several ad-hominems, followed by equivocation, and attempts to justify the "fascist" comment.

    Why not? You act as though your privacy is being violated, but you forget rather quickly that driving is a PRIVILEGE. I'm not sure what "rights" they are violating.

    This is a classic example of why you don't deal with the devil. You may not like the terms when it comes time to pay up.

    PS I hate the idea of national ID cards, and will leave the country before submitting to them. Keep that in mind before you make snap judgements about my comments.

    I was very specific when I said REAL democracy. If you are unable to see that Egypt is not a REAL democracy, then what's the point of wasting further time with you.

    I also notice you fail to own up to your idiotic mistake of claiming Afghanistan is an arab country.

    You clearly are not educated enough about the topic to discuss it intelligently, otherwise you wouldn't have made such mistakes.

    It doesn't, but it was never intended to.

    It does damage their credibility, however. No one should read the findings without understanding the bias of the people who did the research.

    You'll notice I never claimed anyone was biased, only that if a bias exists it should be well known.

    First, thanks for attempting to discuss this reasonably. Propaganda gets so tiring.

    Honestly, no I don't think they have anything to fear. While they are a brutal dictatorship ( I really expected someone to try to refute that, by the way) what reason would we go there for?

    There's simply no real upside, unlike in Iraq, where (agree or disagree) the possibility for something completely new (a real arab democracy) finally exists. Cynics will talk about oil, which we all must agree also plays a part. What equivalent exists in N Korea?

    In 2001, in fact, N Korea met with the Russians to discuss... long range ballistic missiles. Why would they NEED ballistic missiles? You know why, but you'll try to find a way around it.

    If you are wrong (which you are, it's clear) just say so.

    This statement is idiotic. North Korea had nothing to fear until they developed nukes. Now they're afraid because... they developed nukes.

    If they had no nukes, they would be anothee insignificant SE Asian country, with nothing to fear from the US.

    Of course, N Korea is ALSO a brutal dictatorship with no respect for human rights.

    And before all you US haters try to slam the US, ask yourself what american transgressions have to do with this. Drawing parallels is a cheap way to deflect the discussion away from the point, so don't bother.

    But yes, it is nationwide, it's just centrally located in New Orleans.

    I think it's worse than that. France still thinks it is relevant internationally, but they are only on the stage because the US props them up.

    In 100 years, France will be the equivalent of Belgium, or Sweden, nice countries with too little clout, too few resources, and too many bigtime competitors to ever be an international power.
