These days, in many parts of the world (I'm in NZ), a good CS/EE degree has become the _minimum_ entrance requirement to _start_ a career as a programmer -- what on earth (or elsewhere) makes you think that a being a fresh CS grad is gonna jump you past the rest of us...
Aspirations are great; dillusions just make you bitter and twisted...
