Yes, but Microsoft would have been better to let the applications just crash, not block them. Since when has it been Microsoft's responsibility to ensure third party apps run nicely?
I'd say it's insightful because a. there are a lot of scientists interested in this sort of thing, and b. the calculation has been around for quite some time with noone challenging it.
I thought scientists were meant to challenge conventional wisdom? The parent poster is only saying that in his/her opinion it took far too long for this one to be tested again.
Given that Excel is so notoriously inaccurate when doing floating point calculations, I'd be interested if someone else did this in another application. I wonder if they would get the same result.
I am not talking about the "intervention". That needs to be reviewed and either stopped or modified. However, there are those who are abusing Aboriginal children - some of them are relatives of the children. There are definitely children at risk, that can't be denied. They must be removed at times. However, it doesn't mean they must be moved to white families. Often times my understanding is that there are a wider family who can look after the children safely. I can't see why that can't happen.
A self published book doesn't really prove anything. My understanding, which is limited - true, is that there is a total reluctance to take children from their parents nowadays.
Children should be removed from abusive situations. That is very different to the Stolen Generation.
No, the one purchasing the video is actively encouraging the creation of the video. I'd say they are colluding with the creators. The law agrees with me.
The "Deluge of facts KOs OOXML" article says that the "ECMA [is] a RIAA-like industry group dedicated to advancing its members' interests". wtf? Hardly!
