As an initial reaction, yes, panic does get in the way of logical thought processes. But if the event had worn on past two, three, or twenty minutes, do you think your wife would have regained control and thought to try a different tactic?
C'mon - Linux user outraged at SCO creates MyDoom? - they ought to be investigating SCO itself - these guys are likely to burn their own building to get positive press.

That ought to be a real legal nightmare. They ought to try to go into Compton and crack down on the illegal video and audio "industries" there.
