If someone wants to post every little piece of minutiae of their lives on the internet, who the fuck are you to tell them they shouldn't? Are they curtailing your ability to preserve your own privacy? No. So fuck off. What they
The kind of ignorance referred to in the original comment
when majority is not aware about privacy or ignorantly do not
care about it, soon it will be taken advantage of.
I cannot just say I won't use facebook, I will be labelled paranoid and facebook will not care about my privacy concerns because I'm minority.
If someone is fully aware of privacy impact and decides to make everything public, I do agree it is his business. But I don't think the mother who posts her kids pictures and home address with phone number in facebook got a freaking idea about privacy. That is exactly why there should be strict privacy regulation
Just another point of view, NO, I do not support the facebook ban.
Are we hypocrites who are not trying to understand the other view point? What if we do not have a lot of respect(some call it tolerance) for our own religion and belief (for those who have it) that we let our 'God'(son) called 'zombie jew'? What right do we have to criticize someone who has a lot of respect and (blind) belief for what he believes in? For a minute think that you totally, fully, blindly believe in Quran and that God/Allah is going to fry your ass if you do not follow his words, won't you do exactly try to do everything(blow yourself up) to prevent it? My point is that all this is about the amount of faith you have in God, what if *we* do not have it.
Christianity also was practiced (although I believe it was not what Jesus wanted) with a very tight interpretation, it is very very difficult to say it was wrong and what we do is right. Maybe we have all gone mad and away from God, but we also need to check whether *we* are the hypocrites and intolerant ones who cannot accept someone who wants to practice his religion strictly and work towards his eternal life (and blow himself and others up for that goal in this life).

Pure capitalist greed shown by Microsoft.
With the kind of cash they are sitting on, they should invest in R&D or at least fix windows software.
Good for the open source community, hope the laid off employees can work to make the socialist open source movement stronger. Let us share our resources.
Using the same bowl in toilet can mean that he used the same bowl to get water to wash himself. It doesn't necessarily mean that he used it in any other way.
Shivaji is not a Hindu saint. He is an ancient(?) king of one small part of India. In thise parts of India ( Maharashtra and Mumbai) abusing him can get you in trouble. People try to put him forward to create problems as he was famous because he fought wars with Muslim kings for power (not for love of Hindu religion, although people want to believe otherwise). I consider no King to be good for people and definitely Shivaji was not; there can never be a good king. Insulting him is not exactly like insulting a politician.
My personal opinion is that India do lack freedom of speech. Not restricted by law, but by crazy people. The press and judiciary is last resort of a sensible person.

Google cannot aggregate content belonging to others to make money. They do that already, but its unethical to show google ads in other content, without their permission.
Suggestions of not getting your site indexed by Google is not practical. Everybody knows the power of Google. It is another MS in making story. Though, they are good at what they are doing.
I work in a software firm dealing with BFSI products.I recently tried my best to sell the idea of doing some testing and development on Linux. Im so sorry for him that he doesn't realize that the world is changing. Rather he want to play safe and doesn't want to take a risk by trying something new. I was desperately searching for some links comparing Solaris and Linux ( link which proves that linux is as stable or better ). They gave me a win2k machine. I find it stable ( never crashed ). (But I miss my RH7.2). Ive installed cygwin and use vim as my editor, i refused to use the standard IDE's of the company and am trying to educate ( impress ) my colleagues with how easy it is to use vim, cygwin etc. Because I agree that the best way to change mindsets it to let them use the open source tools from their comfortable environment ( M$ products ).
"space simply not a good place to have sex"
Have you seen those woman astronauts?

They are concerned about our feelings. Here is a link to give them some feedback http://www.sco.com/company/feedback/index.html
