- port JCL to shell scripts
- Move from CA-7 to cron
- create COBOL libraries/intrinsics to emulate
tape interfaces, record-based( not stream ) files, console alerts, etc, etc
- figure out how to move from modular, role based security like RACF or TopSecret to a less
integrated uid/guid/file permissions based model
- on and on, and on and on.
