Raspberry! I hate raspberry! Even more than I hate Yoghurt!
Seriously though, you'd go through all of that rather than stay on Windows XP? Man Windows XP must suck! Why don't I know/notice that? Is it because I grew up using this thing and have learnt to live with it's quirks and whims that I've become desensitized to its treatment of me?
Am I like the kid Devlin kidnapped? That's scary if I think about it.
i don't know about designer dogs, but get rid of those shivering little chihuahuas. those are just ugly. now a little pug-nosed bull dog. that's a keeper.
Oh my God! Don't tell me the MPAA might be listening to Wait Wait! Don't Tell Me's podcasts too. Paula Pundstone keeps coming up with the best stuff for them to do! I knew all that fun and satire wouldn't come to any good.
Well, I've given up on searching for clips of the Daily Show on youtube for a while now. There are a few people who regularly update their playlists and give you a good selection of clips from the show (onegoodmove.org/1gm) but their videos kept getting deleted.
I live in Texas and the TVU Player streams being based off of California, I get to watch the show at 4PM; quite convenient for me. It's not the best, but it works out quite well (Comedy Central reruns the show many times every day).
If the person is lashing out because of ignorance or out of frustration, then turning the cheek is good. Remember. You're the morally stronger person. (Think peaceful protest and the army locks you into a closed in compound and opens fire. Refer to the reaction by the Indian leaders.)
If the person attacking on the other hand is f***ing nuts and there's nothing you can do to dissuade him or her, then to protect yourself is not wrong.
Either way, using your head right is what is called for.
of course not. the nerve to actually suggest that i'm addicted!
I can stop any time that I want to. In fact, after I finish submitting this post, linking to it from my del.icio.us account, blogging about it, making a video mash up of some select sounds from the blog post and uploading it to youtube and google video and visiting Zefrank's page for the 20th time today, i'll work on my network programming thing that's been pending for the last 2 months.
I'm TOTALLY in control of my life. thankyouverymuch./p?
personally, i like the Bene Gesserit definition for human beings. You're human only if you're not cattle.
If you live in your parents' basement and still come up with the next revolutionary OS (how archaic) or the next killer mash-up which leads you to (god-forbid) the MTV and a successful career, you're not cattle. Hence, you would be human.
Humans who don't function properly are still being studied to find if they can end up being productive human beings with proper training and medication if necessary. We don't know what to do with them yet. defer judgement.
the CSS parsing still sucks. I've been kicking myself from the day I installed beta1 and then beta2. It's not that the browser's bad. The UI is an improvement. Sure, the thumbnail previews are nice. Stacking similar tabs together - very cool (all of these were available in Opera9 by the way - OPERA RULZ! RoXX, etc etc.).
It's that they haven't made any changes to the CSS compliance so far. The same errors in IE6 are in IE7. Is that all they did? Change the UI?
This person listens to Alanis Morisette. Give him/her a freaking medal.
Seriously.
ooops. I meant Scilab.
for your matlab needs, may i present to you Scilab. they even seem to have their version of Simulink going. pretty impressive. gotta try it out.
How about Maxima, or Scilab? A commenter further down also suggested MayaVi.
Back in my day, we called it netiquette. Damn kids. *Swipes at them with his Newton*.

Oh wait. that's me.
It's all in the context.

Sue me if that makes me sound like a pussy.
Why don't you just give them these?
I mean, come on! Be realistic. This is /. We only want to exercise for our hands (think wrist action).
Oh yes! I went there! I'm not ashamed.
Wha... are you ... are ... are you Jewish?
You know something? All that... all that (hic!) horrible code? It's the Jews' fault man. Without the Jews, we'd have great code and...
excuse me a moment sugar-tits, I think I need to throw up a bit.

what does a little harmless tinkering around with the logo on special occasions do? only a whole lot of good. kinda like a tribute to google.
