There is only one way to stop this, and it has to come from the top. The company that i work for (I'll leave to your imagination) is on of the few truly dynamic places to work I have ever seen in action. From the lowest guy there to the CIO we will sit around and have vigerious debate about where we should go,and how to get there. And the new guy's ideas are just as valid as anybody in the company, he may have to defend them a little better then others, but everyone needs to prove themselves first. But after the debates ideas are formed and run with...by everyone. There is no muscle pushing about I've been here longer, I hold this title, etc... just a bunch of people that start move'n in the same direction at the same goal. It can be an awesome site to see.
I have ther verizon, evdo service. $80/month is a bit heffty, and there is no way I would ever pay it (Of course, if work is pay'n...well that's different). I'm in downtown chicago, and in most places I get very good service and i can easaly get DL speeds of over 350 k/s, and upload at about 175. I'd say that's not bad while your drive'n in a car. I recently took a trip to Hawaii, and at the San Fran air port, I got no signal at all. while in Hawaii i could only get regular cell service, a bit better then dial-up. All in all if there there is signal, hell yeah it's ready for prime time, but if your not in an area where evdo or some 3g tech is avalible, I sure hope your arn't the one pay'n for it.
I tried to google cherryos. Nadda, zip, nothing. Nothing this cool would be able to slip under everybodys radar. The URL didn't even show to see the cashed ver.
This is as likley as VPC running window at 80% of you CPU speed.
It has nothing to do with the article being true. The rebuttal was written (well I might add) because most people believe what they read. Its human nature, it's easy, and well... comparatively thinking is hard. So when someone comes out with an article that is semi factual, most tend to believe it as the truth. If people that do think on there own don't do something to set it straight, or at bare min explain away the mistruths. These feeble rumors become fact.

I have a friend the the GSA, and I told him this was going to be comming last thurs. He told his bosses, the told him, "We could get most of them upgraded, but it would be a lot of work. F*ck it" Needless to say most of there office went down, as did many of the gov't key GSA databases. It's not really funny, but....Ha Ha.

If only you would have waited 35.5 more hours, we could have proved the articals facts true or false
