I am concerned that because of the ubiquity or Word/Office, many corporate sheep are already unjustifiably using Microsoft tools as the final arbiter of proper grammar/writing style, and will now start to use them to determine the veracity of all knowledge. That puts Microsoft in one hell of a powerful position that they have already proven themselves to be far to untrustworthy to actually be in.
> Regular cigarettes are super unhealthy. E-cigarettes are just unhealthy
Since vaping is still a relatively new phenomenon, and as far as I can tell there is no regulation over quality or healthiness of liquids on sale, so It wouldn't surpise me if after a few studies get done, they show that vaping is as at least as bad if not worse than tobacco (for the user).
As a non-smoker I do prefer vapers over cig smokers though, since there isn't any disgusting ash/ashtrays/butt-litter everywhere or apparently as much 2nd-hand smoke.
>> If youâ(TM)re actually trying to break the habit, e-cigs seem like a reasonable temporary solution
I've never been a smoker but I can imagine the act/habit is as, if not more important than the nicotine.
Trouble is, I think people aren't just using vaping as a halfway house to stopping smoking. Its a total guess but I'd bet that amongst people that vape (especially teens), many didn't smoke cigs before they started vaping.
I don't think they even teach actual programming skills in CS degrees any more. As far as I can see Its now all web-based everything, and they what they are creating skilled is package/module integrators and project managers.

Yeah. Literally nothing would happen. The US legal system is fundamentally corrupt, she knows it, and the Clinton Foundation has hundreds of millions of dirty dollars from selling out the US to her friends in the middle east that they can use to buy off bury anyone that gets in her way.
Until the big games developers bite the bullet and end their addiction to DirectX and other Microsoft-proprietary APIs, its always going to be 5 years away, and In 5, 10 and 20 years time it will still be 5 years away.
Unfortunately its apparently become OK for companies to release buggy software now, and people have become conditioned to just expect occasional crashes etc as a normal part of using a computer. (I seriously do blame Microsoft for this cultural acceptance of crappy software, because back in the old days prior to Windows becoming ubiquitous, I used to work on Sun Unix systems, and system crashes were pretty much unheard of, and each was taken very seriously).
I'm not saying I've never had a problem with Steam, but 99% of the time it works just fine for me. I've had far more cases of Windows itself crapping out, or my Android phone locking up, or Firefox locking up than I have had of Steam failing.
No you don't get it. Microsoft don't ever waste time/money on making their products actually any good. They just sell stuff by forcing it down peoples throats. Either to people who are already so locked-in to their walled garden that they can't get out, or by razzle-dazzle marketing to clueless sheep who dont ever do any research before they buy anything. Thats Microsofts entire business plan right there.
Maybe Microsoft actively pushing Steam away is what it takes for to encourage Valve to push on with SteamOS, and games developers to finally get a clue about the need to also make Linux versions of their games.
...just more lame shit copied from other OS's, but without exception all with a twist designed to further lock you into their ecosystem. I bet the Microsoft koolaid-drinkers will love it and think its crazy innovative though.
I guess you weren't one of those people that unrecoverably lost their entire music collection when they switched music stores (twice now), or got screwed when they forced Windows 10 updates on people, or have never realized your personal data is being collected/sold, or found out that your windows 7 phone will no longer update, or that you're being spied on by your Kinect then. The sad thing is that I could go on and on with examples, yet you will no doubt find justifications to ignore/dismiss them all.
It truly boggles my mind how Microsoft have continually screwed their own customers over for decades, and yet still all the sheep out there keep buying their products, then are shocked/outraged when their turn inevitably comes around.
Does this mean 7-11 just made the first ever drone delivery of a commercial sale? If so Way To Go 7-11 !!!! I would have put money on Amazon being the first.
Abusing people at all is despicable.
If it was easy for someone to plant a modified binary on your phone they could also do just about anything they wanted.
Ok well I think thats actually a good thing.
Just studying one gender is bad methodology right there.

sure it has.

I suspect you're very wrong about that.

OMG how cool would it be if it came with Red Star OS!

can you wipe windows and native-boot Linux on it? Not interested otherwise.

> Valve can't even make Steam work properly
What problems are you having? It always works just fine for me, and I use it for steamVR too.
Problem is that even if this is fake, just by putting it out there someone at Microsoft will find out and think "hey thats a good idea...".

...and right on cue here's another post from just today about Microsoft screwing their own custoers over yet again:

I'd never recommend anything Microsoft to anyone.
