About expresivness you all know that it is always a tradeff between speed/size/expresivness/etc... We are toying with the idea here to use K or APL for some financial mumbo-jumbo.
In practice it seems that often the best solutions are cocktails - get some C, some C++, some Java, SOAP some Java, call the SOAP from Perl, generate XML and convert with a stylesheet. That's fun.
