    now, let's look at this like the critical nerds we all are.

    debian had this earlier than anyone else! popularity contest anyone? but it was opt-in.
    then microsoft had windows update, which send all that anyway still opt-in. apple followed closely with they update thing, not opt-in anymore.
    then apple went gold with itunes on mobiles, and android (and everybody else) followed. you stopped having privacy or even owing your stuff.
    then apple decided you still had too much freedom and now they have the same on desktops.
    meanwhile ubuntu being the evil linux followed suit and made popularity contest opt-out.
    and why is people now being chocked that microsoft is just following the crowd?

    last time I checked (couple years) boost didn't had proper data. you had just a few websites you could access... ridiculous. they probably had the network tower bandwidth but not the external pipes.

    the price to have proper data was way above their "40. period." advertisement

    Who cares about the driver?

    I often find myself in situations that I'd pay 10x the price of a tape driver to read a dead hd ..which has it's plates scratched or demagnetized.

    Now it will be one more pain to buy new machines. Will have to scavenge model numbers know to have a correct implementation... Which will be rare.

    Maybe 80% of the users that clicked them had javascript disabled but facebook.com whitelisted.

    may be possible if they are a tech company advertising to tech people... not that i'm going to find out what the hell they advertise on or what's their business just to back my /. comment. i have other uninformed comments to make.
